Trivandrum Management Association (Trima) sets up student chapter at Asian Business School

There is a need to ingrain among students management skills relevant to the State, KM Chandrasekhar, Vice-Chairman, Kerala Planning Board, has said. This is best achieved by exchange of ideas between educational institutions and the industry, he said while speaking at a function at Asian School of Business. The occasion was launch of the student chapter of Trivandrum Management Association (Trima) at the school.

Students may also get the opportunity to value-add their skills through the tie-up, Chandrasekhar said.Managements need to get exposed to ideas generated locally as well those generated abroad. This will help them add new dimensions to own skills.AS Suresh Babu, President, Trima, said that this would be its first student chapter. Evening lectures and training programmes are envisaged as part.Trima is also discussing with other institutions in Thiruvananthapuram and elsewhere in the State the possibility of setting up more such chapters, he added.
